MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric certificate with mathematics.
• Drivers Licence: Code 8 (required).

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience operating a CNC Machine.
• CNC operating experience on Siemens, Fanuc or Mazatrol Controls.

DUTIES

• Read and interpret the detail and requirements of a mechanical design drawing
• Having an understanding of different metals, materials and the characteristics of the material, especially during the manufacturing process would be advantageous.
• Must be competent in reading mechanical drawings, managing planning and managing time management to achieve the completion of the task as set out on the aforesaid drawing.
• CNC operation of CNC Lathes and Milling Machines
• Sets-up lathes and/or milling machines.
• Verifies setting by measuring positions, first-run parts and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread cutting and milling operations; taking measurements; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Be responsible for operating CNC Machines, and for all components to be manufactured.
