Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 10.
• Valid Driver’s Licence - Code B (a) or higher.
• Completing a relevant apprenticeship program is required (Red Seal Certification).

Experience

• Minimum of one year of proven experience in project-based installation, preferably
international.

Duties

Read Manufacturing & Assembly Drawings
• Obtain drawings from the Site Manager.
• Read the measurements to plan the layout and procedure.
• Read P&ID symbols from the drawings.
• Ensure that all jobs are executed according to the drawings provided promptly and of excellent quality
Assembling structural components from delivered materials according to drawing
• Using given materials to assemble and install the complete mechanical system.
• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, gearboxes, chain drives, and alignment, would be advantageousContinually check that fabricated and assembled components meet the highest quality standards
• Ensure that the quality of the work is of the highest standard by using precision and measuring equipment to check for tolerances.

Ensure that tools and project materials are available for the tasks ahead
• Talk through and understand the task/s ahead.
• Prepare all the tools and equipment required for the job.
• Ensure that materials are available and prepared for the task/s ahead.
• Communicate with the Site Manager when any uncertainties and challenges arise.

Health and Safety
• Ensure all H&S (Health and Safety) procedures are adhered to in all respects on the site.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements in line with training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work, etc. Actively seek to improve the safety culture.
• Knowledge of relevant safety standards and willingness to wear the required PPE.

Assist with Administration Responsibilities
• Ensure that job sheets are filled in timeously and are not to be completed during working hours.
• Ensure that vehicle logbooks are completed accurately.

Other / Behavioural Competence

• Valid Passport.
• Maintain professional appearance in line with company standards.
• Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ensure that your workstation is always clean and presentable.
• Adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
