Mechanical Installation Supervisor

CONTRACT

Minimum Qualifications


• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required (Red Seal Certification)
• Computer Literacy
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Forklift Licence

 

Experience 


•  +5 years mechanical installation.
•  +5 years’ experience in automation and/or the automotive industry.
•  +3 years as a supervisor.
•  Knowledge of Automotive OEM standards is advantageous.

Duties


• Day-to-day hands-on involvement in projects and breakdowns.
• Expectation to physically work with the team to complete the project in the work required.
• Materials tracking on-site and provision of materials to the installation team.
• Manage own team including HR functions e.g., job sheets & timesheets.
• Ensure all staff are inducted.
• Ensure all staff have the correct PPE.
• Manage staff attendance and accurate timekeeping records.
• Manage staff queries and complaints and report them to HR.
• Exceptional housekeeping at all times.
• Zero tolerance for transgressions on environmental regulations of the site.
• Ensure the site team hours are recovered on projects.

• Review and forecast upcoming hours with the Site Manager and ensure staff on site have sufficient work.
• Ensure monthly allocated targets are met.
• Review upcoming projects and ensure customers’ expectations are met with sufficient staff and equipment on site.
• Weekly written feedback to the Site Manager on project progress.
• Detailed written feedback to the Site Manager defining the history of the project.
• Customer liaison, find new opportunities and submit scope to Site Manager and/or Procurement.
• Daily engagement with the customer on-site identifying opportunities for business and completing written documentation.
• Assist with Planning, Scheduling & Monitoring of Work.
• Health and Safety.
• Assist with Administration Responsibilities.
• Ensure that job sheets are filled in timeously and are not to be completed during working hours.
• Ensure that vehicle logbooks are completed accurately.
• Ensure that job sheets are accurate and a true reflection before invoicing.
• Ensure that all job sheet scheduling is up to date at all times.
• Housekeeping.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
