Payroll Administrator
FIXED TERM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 with mathematics
• Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification
EXPERIENCE
• 5 - 7 years of experience.
• SAGE VIP Payroll experience.
• In-depth knowledge of South African Labour legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Multinational experience will be an advantage.
DUTIES
• Payroll processing
• Process payroll for permanent and temporary staff, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
• Interpreting and applying statutory regulations and maintaining Sage within statutory regulations, ability to solve problems and simulation payslips.
• Provide support and assistance with payroll-related inquiries from staff.
• Accurate processing and recordkeeping of weekly/monthly payrolls.
• Manage new employee onboarding by loading staff onto the payroll system.
• Manage employee terminations, staff transfers, and payroll system updates.
• Maintain and update employee information.
• Process all deductions, advance payments, day-out allowances, etc.
• Benefits administration.
• Ensure all garnishee orders are processed.
• Fund Administration, submissions and capturing.
• Assist with all UI19s, salary schedule forms and service certificates.
• Ensure all payslips are received by employees (SSS).
• Ensure all monthly and weekly payslip checks are done and are correct.
• Leave Management
• Administration of all leave.
• Leave Management using ESS Employee Management System.
• Linking new employees, managing approval structure and workflow management.
• Legal Compliance
• Month-end reporting, printing of IRP5 for distribution, and report writing.
• Submit monthly UIF declarations to the Department of Labour.
• Assist with submission of SDL and EE reports, WCA and Stats SA Reporting.
• Assist with SARS reconciliations and submissions for tax year end and financial year end (EMP501) using EasyFile.
• Assist with Income Tax Registration administration.
• Assist with Mid-Year tax submissions.
• Assist with the organisation's tax obligations taxes, statutory deductions, union payments, and 3rd Parties.
• General
