MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric certificate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Project Management experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledgeable of South African codes and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of High-Complexity Project Management.
• Drivers Licence: Code 8 (Mandatory).

EXPERIENCE

• 3 - 5 years of experience designing and detailing in Inventors on projects in line with the company’s offerings.
• Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Very knowledgeable in mechanical products and systems. Automated equipment and robotic systems knowledge would be advantageous.
• Proficient in drawing and editing P&ID as drawings.
• Experienced with AutoCAD for factory layouts.
• Experienced with Quality systems, i.e., ISO 9001:2015
• Knowledge of Odoo is advantageous.

DUTIES

• Professional and detailed understanding of 3D purpose-built design in Inventor.
  o Receive project information from the sales team.
  o Read and interpret the details and requirements for the project execution.
  o Understand who the customer is and what their standard requirements are.

  o Develop timing plans and schedules for critical phases of the project lifecycle.
  o Coordinate contract amendments and additions with the PM.
  o Review costing and develop the design to suit the project budget.
  o Maintains high ethical standards of conduct for all activities.
• 2D detailing with Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  o Manufacturing drawings to be created from 3D models.
  o Attention to detail inclusive of relevant symbols.
  o Ensure accurate and detailed BOMs.
  o Export of BOMs for submission to the Purchasing Department.
  o Laser cut DXFs sent for pricing.
• Sub-supplier selection.
  o Source the correct sub-supplier for quality products and services.
  o Detailed data capturing and analysis to ensure products and services suit the project.
  o Zero tolerance for transgressions on environmental regulations of the site.
• Quality control and documentation.
  o Ensure that all work is always performed to the highest level of quality at all times.
  o Prepare outgoing documentation as required for the project.
  o Understand and use our ISO Quality Management System.

  o Assist in the development of written information as required for operating manuals and other internal/external documentation.
  o Support for project Timing Plans.
