MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid driver’s License (code 8 or 10)
• Valid forklift license (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE

• Basic Vehicle Maintenance, Knowledge: National Traffic Rules and Regulations
• 3 - 5 years driving experience
• Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, etc. (advantageous)

DUTIES

• Issue raw materials.
• Receive raw materials.
• Pack and stack raw materials.
• Operate the designated vehicle in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the law, policies and procedures as laid out by the company in order to reach target destinations and get goods delivered in a timeous fashion.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and report back to supervisor if there are any problems.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, hygienic and tidy at all times.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are safely and securely stored.
• Deliver as per schedule to ensure all customers receive their goods within a reasonable time.
• Maintain a daily record of deliveries.

• Follow correct receiving procedures on arrival at customer’s receiving bays.
• Provide a communication link between management and customers, focusing on product quality and receiving procedures.
• Report back to dispatch after each working day for debriefing – vehicle check, refuelling, any receiving issues.
• Responsible for washing and cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicles.
• Control raw materials.
• Operate a forklift.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Perform good housekeeping.
