MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Knowledgeable of South African codes and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• 3D printing design and manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Valid Vehicle Driver’s Licence. (Mandatory).

EXPERIENCE

• 5 - 10 years experience with the Autodesk suite of products on projects in line with the
company’s offerings.
• Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Very knowledgeable in mechanical products and systems.
• Automated equipment and robotic systems knowledge would be advantageous.
• Proficient in drawing and editing P&ID as drawings.
• Experienced with Quality systems, i.e., ISO 9001:2015
• Knowledge of Odoo is advantageous.

DUTIES

• A clear understanding of the project scope
• Generate presentation drawings for approval
• Engineering and design calculations
• Capable of doing project related calculations (flow calculations, thermal dynamic calculations, pneumatic calculations etc.

• Professional and detailed understanding of 3D purpose-built design in the Autodesk suite of products
• 2D detailing with BOM’s
• Manufacturing drawings to be created from 3D models.
• Attention to detail inclusive of relevant symbols.
• Laser cut DXFs sent for pricing.
• Sub-supplier selection
• Quality control and documentation
• Confidentiality
• Reporting and documentation
• Health and Safety
• Ensure all H&S (Health and Safety) procedures are adhered to.
