MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric certificate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Knowledgeable of South African codes and regulations.
• Proficient with the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Good knowledge of High-Complexity Project Management.
• 3D printing design and manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Ability to travel.
• Valid Passport.
• Drivers Licence: Code 8 (Mandatory).

EXPERIENCE

• 3 - 5 years of experience with the Autodesk suite of products on projects in line with the company’s offerings.
• Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Very knowledgeable in mechanical products and systems.
• Automated equipment and robotic systems knowledge would be advantageous.
• Proficient in drawing and editing P&ID as drawings.
• Experienced with Quality systems, i.e., ISO 9001:2015
• Knowledge of Odoo is advantageous.

DUTIES

• Professional and detailed understanding of 3D purpose-built design in the Autodesk suite of products.
• Receive project information from the sales team and/or customer.

• Read and interpret the details and requirements for the project execution.
• Understand who the customer is and what their standard requirements are.
• Develop timing plans and schedules for critical phases of the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate contract amendments and additions with the PM.
• Review costing and develop the design to suit the project budget.
• Maintains high ethical standards of conduct for all activities.
• 2D detailing with BOM’s
• Manufacturing drawings to be created from 3D models.
• Attention to detail inclusive of relevant symbols.
• Ensure accurate and detailed BOMs
• Export of BOMs for submission to the Purchasing Department
• Laser cut DXFs sent for pricing.
• Sub-supplier selection
• Source the correct sub-supplier for quality products and services.
• Detailed data capturing and analysis to ensure products and services suit the project.
• Zero tolerance for transgressions on environmental regulations of the site.
• Quality control and documentation
• Ensure that all work is always performed to the highest level of quality at all times.
• Presentation of results to Management as and when required.
• Understand and use our ISO Quality Management System.
• Confideniality
• Maintain confidentiality concerning csensitive project information at all times.
• Reporting and documentation
• Assist in the development of written information as required for operating manuals and other internal/external documentation.
• Ensure Design Office planning is accurate and effective.
